Fresh Sales & Retail Support Specialist

Remote | Salary $65,000-$85,000 | 75% Travel Territory: Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas & Wyoming Preferred Residence: Eastern Colorado

We're seeking a Fresh Sales & Retail Support Specialist to support our member retailers throughout Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, and Wyoming. This unique role begins with a strong sales focus and evolves into a hybrid position combining sales support, retailer consulting, training, and in-store execution of AWG Fresh programs.

As a trusted Fresh Department resource, you'll partner with retailers and AWG teams to drive results in:

Meat & Seafood
Produce
Bakery
Deli

You will:

Build strong relationships with member retailers
Support stores through phone, email, and in-person visits
Identify opportunities to improve sales, profitability, and execution
Resolve quality and operational issues with procurement and warehouse teams
Assist with promotions, food shows, special events, and merchandising initiatives
Analyze trends and provide reporting to Fresh leadership
Serve as a liaison between retailers, sales teams, procurement, and merchandising
Travel extensively throughout your territory providing hands-on support

What We're Looking For

Strong retail grocery experience, particularly in Fresh Departments
Knowledge of fresh food operations, including procurement, receiving, merchandising, inventory management, routing, and selling techniques
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking abilities
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual English/Spanish
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, or related field
Experience supporting multiple retail locations or working with independent grocers

Travel & Territory -This is a remote position requiring approximately 75% travel throughout:

Nebraska
Kansas
Wyoming

Candidates should reside within the territory, with Eastern Colorado strongly preferred.
