Overview
Seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Sitter to join our team who MUST LIVE IN WESTMINSTER and must be available nights, weekends and holidays. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and happiness of our furry friends. This position requires a love for animals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple dogs safely during walks. You will be responsible for providing exercise, companionship, and care to dogs and cats while maintaining a positive relationship with their owners.
Duties
- Overnights stays in client's home (minimum of 12 hours, so usually from 7PM-7AM)
- Walk dogs in various weather conditions, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Provide basic pet care services for such as feeding and administering medications as needed.
- Maintain open communication with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and health during walks.
- Ensure all dogs are leashed properly and follow safety protocols to prevent escapes or accidents.
- Clean up after dogs during walks and maintain a tidy environment.
- Observe and report any behavioral or health concerns to pet owners promptly.
- Build strong relationships with both pets and their owners through excellent customer service.
Skills
- Proficiency in dog handling and animal care is essential.
- Veterinarian/kennel care experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
- Knowledge of dog training techniques is beneficial for managing various breeds and temperaments.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple dogs simultaneously.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Experience with cats is a plus.
