Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic High School Science Teacher to inspire and educate students in the sciences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning through engaging lessons and innovative teaching methods. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to creating a supportive classroom environment, utilizing modern learning technologies, and tailoring instruction to meet diverse student needs. Paid positions are available, and this role is perfect for educators eager to make a meaningful impact on young learners’ academic journeys.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive science curricula aligned with educational standards and tailored to high school students’ developmental levels.
Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate hands-on experiments, multimedia resources, and technology tools such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) to enhance student understanding.
Adapt teaching strategies to support students with special needs, including those with disabilities or requiring individualized education plans (IEPs).
Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement, conflict management techniques, and proactive classroom management strategies.
Assess student progress regularly through tests, projects, and formative assessments; provide constructive feedback to support growth.
Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, curriculum development, and school initiatives aimed at improving student outcomes.
Maintain clear communication with students and parents about academic performance, behavioral expectations, and upcoming activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Valid teaching certification for high school science or equivalent credentials.
Proven classroom experience working with high school students in science subjects such as biology, chemistry, physics, or environmental science.
Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional design, and learning technology tools including LMS platforms.
Experience working with students with disabilities or in special education settings is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage diverse learners.
Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to foster a positive learning environment.
Knowledge of literacy education principles related to scientific reading comprehension and writing skills.
