Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Process Server Contractor and play a vital role in ensuring legal documents are delivered accurately and efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work independently while contributing to the justice process. As a Process Server Contractor, you will be responsible for delivering legal notices, subpoenas, summonses, and other court documents to individuals or organizations in a timely manner. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help maintain the integrity of legal proceedings and uphold professional standards.

Duties

Locate and serve legal documents to individuals or entities in accordance with jurisdictional requirements
Follow strict protocols for document delivery, including obtaining proof of service through affidavits or notarized statements
Maintain detailed records of each service attempt, including dates, times, locations, and outcomes
Communicate effectively with clients and legal professionals regarding service status and challenges encountered
Use courier skills to navigate assigned areas efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries across various locations
File all completed service documentation securely and accurately within designated systems or physical files
Adhere to all legal regulations and confidentiality standards related to process serving activities

Experience

Prior experience as a courier or in a role requiring reliable transportation and timely delivery is highly preferred, but not necessary.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with clients, recipients, and legal personnel
Knowledge of filing procedures within legal or administrative contexts is advantageous
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high accuracy and professionalism
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential for fulfilling delivery routes effectively
