Full Job Description

The Service and Operations Leader oversees daily operations, supports customer service, and ensures efficiency across service, shipping, inventory, and office functions. This role acts as a player‑coach, helping where needed while improving processes and developing staff.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

Implement systems and processes to enhance customer experience.
Ensure calls, service requests, and customer needs are handled quickly and professionally.
Diagnose issues over the phone.
Identify additional service opportunities that contribute to a better customer experience and growth of TPS Products.
Build relationships with key customers and ensure high-quality service delivery.

Service Calls

Perform Machine Deliveries and simple service calls when needed.

Operations & Efficiency

Always ask if there is a more efficient or profitably way.
Improve processes for service routes, shipping, inventory, and billing.
Oversee shipping accuracy, inventory levels, and correct billing for shipped parts.

Employee Development

Train and coach service techs and office staff on processes and customer service.
Review call recordings and provide performance feedback.
Conduct regular check‑ins with staff.

Team Support

Assist in the office (phones, orders, basic admin).
Step in for deliveries or service calls if needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Experience in operations, customer service, or service‑based business management.
Strong problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Tech‑savvy and able to learn new systems quickly.
Flexible, hands‑on, and committed to continuous improvement.

Working Environment

This role is 50-70% in office and 30-50% in the field working with customers. The role requires driving to customer sites. This role can require a lot of walking, standing and moving within customer sites. You need to be able to lift 50 lb. regularly. These are essential duties of this role.

You will also be near loud noises in your customers’ locations. Some of these locations require strict safety behaviors you must adhere to at all times. Safety glasses and other PPE may be required at different sites.
