Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our team immediately. This full-time paid position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with an attorney on a variety of legal matters, including civil litigation, probate, family law, personal injury and more. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, legal research abilities, be a team player and experience supporting legal professionals in a fast-paced environment. Communication with clients, courts, and other legal entities is essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities

Assist attorney with preparing legal documents, demand packages, and case files across multiple practice areas .
Conduct thorough legal research using Courtnet.
Manage document review, filing, and organization within document management.
Support client communication through professional correspondence and phone etiquette
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while handling data entry and clerical tasks efficiently
Coordinate with courts and external agencies to facilitate case progress and ensure procedural compliance
Assist with project management tasks related to ongoing cases or firm initiatives

Requirements

Prior paralegal or legal support experience is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and document management systems
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment
Effective client communication skills combined with professional phone etiquette
Experience with legal drafting, proofreading, and document review processes
Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining accuracy in data entry and filing tasks
Demonstrated ability to support multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
