Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Epicor ERP Kinetic Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Epicor Kinetic and solution architecture to support customers with implementations. Must have a strong focus on engineer-to-order manufacturing, operations, and accounting. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to design and implement innovative solutions that meet our clients' needs. The Senior Consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and security while ensuring seamless integration of various technologies.
Duties
1. ERP Implementation & Configuration
Lead full lifecycle implementation projects, including discovery, design, build, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
2. Business Process Analysis & Optimization
- Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation.
- Recommend best practices and standardized workflows aligned with Epicor functionality.
- Document and optimize end-to-end processes to ensure scalability and operational efficiency.
- Facilitate workshops with business users to gather requirements and validate proposed solutions.
3. Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during implementation and optimization engagements.
- Communicate project milestones, issues, and risks to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
- Provide expert-level consultation and guidance to executive leadership and functional teams.
- Lead training sessions and develop end-user documentation to ensure successful adoption.
4. Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve complex application issues related to Epicor modules, integrations, or customizations.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and test custom solutions (e.g., BPMs, BAQs, dashboards, reports).
- Support integrations between Epicor and third-party systems (e.g., EDI, CRM, WMS, eCommerce platforms).
5. Reporting & Performance Management
- Build and maintain Business Activity Queries (BAQs), dashboards, SSRS reports, and KPI metrics.
- Monitor system performance, security roles, and data integrity to ensure optimal system health.
- Support audit, compliance, and reporting requirements for operations and finance.
6. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Recommend and implement system enhancements that align with strategic business goals.
- Promote standardization, automation, and system governance.
Epicor Kinetic Senior Consultant – Qualifications
1. Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field (required).
2. Experience
- 5–10+ years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting Epicor Kinetic or Epicor ERP (versions 10 and above).
- Proven track record leading multiple full-cycle ERP implementation or upgrade projects.
- Strong experience with one or more Epicor modules:
- Manufacturing Execution / MRP
- Finance & Accounting
- Inventory / Warehouse Management
- Supply Chain / Procurement
- CRM or Service Management
- Experience working with both on-premise and cloud deployments.
3. Functional & Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of business processes across finance, manufacturing, supply chain, and production.
- Advanced skills in Business Process Management (BPM), Business Activity Queries (BAQs), Dashboards, and SSRS report development.
- Experience with data migration, EDI integration, and API connectivity.
- Strong knowledge of user security, role management, and workflow automation.
- Familiarity with SQL databases and query optimization.
4. Soft Skills & Leadership
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex ERP issues.
- Strong communication skills—able to translate technical concepts into clear business language.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior consultants.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments.
- High level of customer service orientation with strong stakeholder management skills.
5. Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in engineer-to-order manufacturing and percentage of completion accounting is advantageous.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments (e.g., discrete, process, or mixed-mode manufacturing).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
- Willingness to travel (typically 50%) for client engagements if required.
- Epicor Kinetic functional or technical certifications.
- Additional certifications in project management (e.g., Project Management Institute — PMP, or Agile/Scrum certifications) are a plus.
