Position Summary
CANiK USA is seeking a creative and highly organized Graphics Designer - Ecommerce to support the Ecommerce and Product Management teams through graphic design, digital content development, photo editing, limited product photography, product artwork, and product launch materials. The primary focus of this role is creating accurate, polished, and brand-consistent visual assets for CANiK ecommerce channels and product initiatives using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. The position also supports Special Make-Up (SMU) product design by developing visual concepts for special-color firearms, stencil applications, laser artwork, and other limited or exclusive product treatments. SMU concept development is an important secondary responsibility rather than the primary focus of the role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ecommerce Graphic Design and Digital Content
· Create digital graphics for CANiK ecommerce channels, including product pages, landing pages, website banners, promotional campaigns, email graphics, and other online merchandising needs.
· Develop product launch asset packages, including hero images, feature callouts, product comparison graphics, specification graphics, dealer sell sheets, presentation materials, and supporting visual content.
· Adapt approved creative into the dimensions, file formats, and variations required for ecommerce, marketing, sales, and dealer-facing applications.
· Translate product features, specifications, positioning, and technical information into clear and visually compelling graphics in collaboration with Product Management.
· Create and maintain reusable templates that improve consistency and speed across recurring ecommerce and product-content requests.
Photo Editing and Limited Product Photography
· Retouch, color-correct, composite, and enhance product photography using Adobe Photoshop while maintaining accurate product representation.
· Prepare web-ready and print-ready product images, including background removal, clipping paths, cleanup, cropping, resizing, file compression, shadows, reflections, and format conversion.
· Conduct limited in-house product photography as assigned, including basic product staging, lighting, camera setup, image capture, and file organization.
· Maintain visual consistency across product imagery, including color, scale, orientation, background treatment, and overall presentation.
Product Artwork and Product Launch Support
· Create product artwork, logos, labels, packaging graphics, instruction-manual graphics, case inserts, event materials, and other product-support assets as assigned.
· Prepare production-ready vector and raster files for internal teams, printers, vendors, and manufacturers.
· Coordinate artwork reviews, revisions, approvals, and final-file delivery with Ecommerce, Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and other stakeholders.
· Review graphic content for accuracy, including product features, dimensions, model names, required markings, brand elements, and approved specifications.
· Support trade shows, dealer meetings, product presentations, catalogs, and new-product launch activities with required visual assets.
SMU Product Design Support - Secondary Responsibility
· Develop concept mockups for Special Make-Up (SMU) firearms and accessories, including special colorways, stenciled finishes, laser-applied artwork, engraving concepts, and dealer- or distributor-exclusive designs.
· Apply proposed colors and artwork to product reference images and prepare multiple views, variations, or presentation concepts for internal and customer review.
· Create clean vector artwork, masks, layouts, and production-support files for approved SMU concepts.
· Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and suppliers to account for production constraints, required firearm markings, component boundaries, and achievable decoration processes.
· Maintain organized records of SMU concepts, revisions, approvals, and final artwork.
Project and Asset Management
· Manage multiple design requests and deadlines while communicating priorities, status, risks, and required approvals to stakeholders.
· Maintain organized digital asset libraries with consistent file naming, version control, source files, exports, and archival records.
· Ensure all artwork complies with CANiK USA brand standards and applicable internal approval requirements.
· Maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary products, unreleased launches, customer programs, and exclusive designs.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Product Design, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
· Three (3) or more years of professional graphic design experience, preferably supporting ecommerce, consumer products, product marketing, or retail brands.
· Three (3) or more years experience in firearms, sporting goods, manufacturing, consumer products, or another regulated product category.
· Professional portfolio demonstrating strong digital graphic design, product-focused visual communication, image editing, layout, and production-ready artwork.
· Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator; working proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
· Strong photo-retouching, compositing, color-correction, background-removal, and image-optimization skills.
· Working knowledge of product photography, basic studio lighting, camera operation, and image-file management.
· Understanding of ecommerce image requirements, digital design fundamentals, typography, branding, and web-ready asset preparation.
· Ability to create and manage accurate vector and raster artwork for digital, print, and production applications.
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, revisions, and deadlines simultaneously.
· High attention to detail, sound judgment, and consistent quality-control practices.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience designing ecommerce product pages, digital campaigns, or online merchandising assets.
· Experience creating product colorways, surface graphics, equipment graphics, or product concept mockups.
· Familiarity with Cerakote, paint masking, stencil applications, laser ablation, laser engraving, or similar product-decoration processes.
· Experience supporting Product Management and Marketing teams during new-product introductions and launches.
· Experience with product photography in a studio or controlled-lighting environment.
· Knowledge of print production, packaging design, and vendor-ready file preparation.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
· Frequent computer, keyboard, and mouse use for detailed design work.
· Ability to occasionally lift and position products, photography equipment, or materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
· Ability to work safely around firearms and product samples in accordance with company policies.
· Occasional travel to trade shows, suppliers, photography locations, and industry events.
Work Environment
This position works primarily in an office and product-photography environment, with periodic work in manufacturing, warehouse, range, or event settings. The role routinely collaborates with Ecommerce, Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and external vendors. Compliance with all company firearm-handling, safety, confidentiality, and required PPE policies is expected.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
