Job Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for refracting and providing outstanding patient care. You will work closely with patients to assess their visual health, prescribe corrective lenses for glasses and contacts, and offer expert guidance on eye health maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity, refractive errors, and eye health conditions.

Diagnose and manage a variety of vision problems, including nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia.

Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, or other vision aids as needed to correct vision problems.

Detect eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary, such as referring patients to ophthalmologists or specialists for advanced treatment.

Educate patients on proper eye care, contact lens hygiene, and the importance of regular eye examinations.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including examination findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.

Stay informed about advancements in optometry and incorporate new techniques or technologies into practice.

Ensure a high level of patient satisfaction through exceptional communication and a caring bedside manner.

Adhere to all relevant legal and ethical standards in optometry practice.

Qualifications:

Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited optometry program.
Current state licensure to practice optometry.
Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to providing the highest standard of patient care.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
