Your Home Groomer | Loxahatchee / Wellington, FL
Your Home Groomer is looking for an experienced Part-Time Dog Bather & Grooming Assistant to join our team. This position also includes helping care for a small number of boarding dogs at our private home-based facility.
This is a hands-on position for someone who already has professional experience bathing dogs and is confident with basic grooming prep, especially nail trimming and Dremeling. Attention to detail is a big part of what we do. We’re looking for someone who is thorough, takes pride in their work, and makes sure every dog is fully finished to a high standard.
Responsibilities
- Bathing, drying, brushing, and deshedding dogs
- Clipping and Dremeling nails confidently and safely
- Assisting groomers with prep work and appointments
- Brushing, combing, and helping prepare dogs for grooming
- Maintaining a clean and organized grooming area
- Driving our grooming van to scheduled bath appointments
- Completing mobile bath, deshed, and basic grooming-service appointments independently once trained
- Feeding and caring for boarding dogs
- Letting boarding dogs outside for potty breaks and playtime
- Cleaning kennels, dog areas, grooming spaces, and completing laundry
- Taking clear photos and videos of boarding dogs for client updates
- Keeping an eye on each dog's comfort, behavior, and needs throughout the day
- Helping with daily tasks without needing constant direction
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Previous professional dog bathing experience is required
- Must already be comfortable and experienced clipping dogs' nails
- Comfortable handling dogs of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments
- Valid driver's license and confidence driving a grooming van
- Must be able to safely drive to appointments throughout Wellington and surrounding areas
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time well
- Comfortable working independently after training
- Able to use GPS, scheduling apps, and a smartphone
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Able to recognize what needs to be done and take initiative
Professional grooming salon, mobile grooming, veterinary, kennel, boarding, daycare, or similar dog-handling experience is strongly preferred.
Schedule
This is a part-time position with the possibility of additional hours as the role grows.
Saturday availability is important.
Hours may vary depending on grooming appointments and boarding needs. Some boarding shifts may begin around 7:00–7:30 AM.

Your Home Groomer is a locally owned luxury mobile dog grooming company serving Wellington and surrounding Palm Beach County areas. We currently operate three mobile grooming vans along with our private grooming and boarding space in Loxahatchee.
We are a small team focused on quality, cleanliness, communication, and providing patient, attentive care to every dog.
We're looking for someone dependable, experienced, and comfortable jumping between grooming assistance, bath appointments, and helping care for our boarding dogs.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
