Full Job Description

Job Summary
Construction superintendent will lead and manage the on-site construction team, and oversee all work on site. This role will require travel and close project coordination with Project Managers. Must be deadline driven and will be responsible for orderliness on-site. Superintedent is responsible for compliance, that safety regulations/quality standards are met, and all equipment and materials available on-site at all times. You will professionally liaise with inspection authorities regarding approvals. Construction superintendents coordinate with Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered successfully and on time. This role requires excellent communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with various people, such as construction workers, architects and engineers. Superintendents must be strong leaders, pro-active, and perform well under pressure.

Responsibilities:

Leading and managing the on-site construction team
Coordinating and overseeing all work on site
Attending production meetings
Reviewing and becoming familiar with the plans
Plan construction process
Collaborate with engineers, Architects, subcontractors, etc. to determine project needs
Developing the schedule, 2 week and 1 month look ahead, and ensuring adherence to it
Maintaining records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders, and RFIs.
Place orders for materials and Keep track of material stock on site
Set performance goals and deadlines
Supervise staff and provide constructive feedback
Implement safety and quality guidelines
Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly
Resolve on-site issues and emergencies
Coordinate inspections

Requirements:

Ability to Travel when needed
Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites
In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes
Ability to lead
Organizational and time management skills.
Knowledge of a wide range of construction materials, methods and techniques
Ability to perform under pressure
Following the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
