Full Job Description

Seeking full-time experienced paralegal at busy law office specializing in civil litigation. Applicants must be willing and able to assume significant substantive responsibility, working well in a deadline-driven environment.

Position Duties Include:

Preparation of legal documents.
Arranging for the proper service of legal documents.
Organization and maintenance of client files, both paper and electronic.
Learning cases in-depth, mastering the relevant facts.
Having or acquiring substantive knowledge of the applicable law (with the attorneys’ assistance as needed).
Interacting significantly with clients to learn the facts, gather documents, answer discovery.
Preparing discovery answers.
Preparing various legal documents.
Legal research.
Reviewing, analyzing, and organizing documents, culling the key evidence.
Organizing files.
Assisting attorneys to prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials.
Attending hearings and trials as needed.

Preferred Position Requirements:

High school degree or equivalent.
Paralegal experience/certification.
Proficiency with Windows based software programs (Word, Excel) required.
Ability to interact professionally with co-workers.
Willing to follow specific instructions provided by attorneys and staff.
Multi-tasking capabilities.
Available for occasional overtime work.

Compensation:

Compensation range: $31/hr to $40/hr ($64,480 to $83,200 annually), depending upon skills and experience.
Benefits include 10 paid holidays, personal time off (PTO), paid health insurance, 401K with employer match, and possible bonus.

Pay: $31.00 - $40.00 per hour
