Full Job Description

Payroll Specialist / Office Manager

Neil & Company CPAs, P.C. is a well-established public accounting firm in Bozeman, Montana, seeking a dependable and motivated Payroll Specialist / Office Manager to join our team.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with small business clients, thrives in a collaborative office environment, and has strong organizational and bookkeeping skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

Process payroll for a variety of small business clients.
Prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll tax reports.
Perform monthly bookkeeping services, including:
Accounts payable and bill payment
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Journal entries
General ledger maintenance
Electronically file federal and state tax returns.
Assist with office management duties, including ordering office supplies and supporting day-to-day administrative operations.
Provide exceptional service to our clients while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

Experience processing payroll and preparing payroll tax reports.
Proficiency with QuickBooks (QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop preferred).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and client service skills.
Prior bookkeeping or accounting experience is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:
We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package. Overtime is available and expected during the tax season, while flexible scheduling is available during the remainder of the year to help support a healthy work-life balance.
