Our clinic was established in 1950 and has provided veterinary services to the animals of Park County for over 75 years. We are an upbeat animal hospital focused on the care of our clients and their animals, and our clients are friendly and enjoy our family-like experience. The clinic currently offers routine health services, non-routine and illness visits, routine elective surgeries, dentistry, reproductive services and several non-elective or emergent surgeries for both small and large animals. We are well equipped with a full in-house laboratory, in-house pharmacy, two portable ultrasound machines, a portable Silencer livestock chute for ranch calls, a tonometer for ophthalmic use and a shockwave therapy unit. There is a doctor on call on evenings and weekends for afterhours urgent care.
Experience of at least 6 months - 1 year working in a veterinary clinic or hospital is strongly preferred, and applicants with experience will be given priority. CSRs set the tone for our clients' experience in our hospital and are a critical part of our daily operations. This position performs a variety of office and customer service related tasks and is critical to the efficiency of our normal operations. It also requires appropriate triage of medical cases and the ability to determine emergencies from non-urgent issues.
Compensation is dependent on experience and qualifications met.

Job Duties - CSR:
- Serve as the first and last point of contact for clients and patients
- Answer phone calls and return missed calls, take necessary notes, answer questions and schedule appointments or direct calls as needed
- Return client calls after conferring with a doctor, technician or management as necessary
- Check patients in and out, process payments
- Schedule appointments according to the hospital's availability and protocols
- Work with technicians/assistants to coordinate appointment schedules and ensure normal operations
- Conduct phone triage and recognize certain true emergency cases which must be seen immediately, including but not limited to: bloat, urinary obstruction, hit by car or other major traumas, birthing difficulty, etc.
- Report any safety concerns, necessary equipment or supply maintenance, infrastructure issues, etc. to appropriate individual(s)
- Attend monthly staff meetings
- Expected to participate in company events
- Optional - kennel duties (shared with technicians/assistants) on weekdays as well as rotating weekend kennel duty schedule
Preferred Characteristics
- Experience (6 mos - 1 year) working in a veterinary clinic or hospital - strongly preferred
- Experience with IDEXX Cornerstone veterinary software
Job Requirements/Qualifications
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, email programs, etc.) or comfort learning new computer programs
- Excellent phone/email etiquette and customer service abilities, including being personable and empathetic both in person and over the phone
- Experience with multi-line phone systems
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Great time management skills, able to identify necessary tasks and work independently more often than not
- Able to effectively take direction, unafraid to ask questions and be good at listening to others
- Compassionate, caring and able to effectively work within a group when needed
- Excellent attention to detail: with checking invoices, entering patient and client information, scheduling appointments, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and outlook and treat others with respect regardless of the situation
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
