About Us

Snow and Ice Management of PA is a Pittsburgh-based company specializing in commercial snow and ice management services across Pennsylvania and Michigan. We are a close-knit, driven team that takes pride in delivering superior service to our clients. Free on-site parking is available at our North Side Pittsburgh office.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our team and manage a book of business in partnership with our President/CEO. This is a high-ownership, relationship-driven role that sits at the intersection of client management, service delivery, and sales.

This role is not for everyone. During the winter season, you will work through the night -- and in some cases, across multiple consecutive days and nights, for the duration of every storm event. Site visits require driving and walking properties in active storm conditions including snow, ice, and low visibility. If you cannot fully commit to evenings, overnight hours, and weekends from October through April, this is not the right role for you.

If you thrive under pressure, are energized by high-stakes environments, and take pride in delivering results when it is hardest to do so, we want to hear from you. During the off-season you will shift into renewals and new business development, supporting our sales pipeline and managing RFPs.

What You'll Do

Serve as a primary client contact for an assigned book of business, delivering consistent communication and proactive issue resolution throughout the winter season
Negotiate and contract service providers to deliver snow services across your sites
Oversee pre-season site preparation including client and service provider walkthroughs
Perform pre-storm, in-storm, and post-storm site visits, driving and walking properties in active winter storm conditions for the duration of each storm event
Sustain active, uninterrupted engagement during storm events including overnight hours and multiple consecutive days as conditions require
Review Financial Storm Summary Reports after every storm to ensure accurate invoicing
Collaborate with the President/CEO on renewals, new sales, and RFP management during the off-season
Identify upselling opportunities and build a pipeline of new clients within the target market
Maintain accurate, timely CRM records across all client and service provider activity

What We're Looking For

3-5 years of account management or sales experience required; snow, landscape, or facilities management industry experience strongly preferred
Full and sustained commitment during the winter season, including overnight hours and multiple consecutive days during storm events. This is not a traditional on-call role; active, uninterrupted engagement is required for the duration of each storm cycle
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; must be comfortable and capable of driving in active winter storm conditions including snow, ice, and low visibility
Technologically proficient and self-sufficient, able to independently navigate multiple software platforms and digital tools with minimal training
CRM experience required; proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel including formulas and data analysis
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; must communicate clearly and professionally with clients, service providers, and internal team members across email, phone, and digital platforms under pressure and time constraints
Strong ability to manage clients, vendors, and internal teams simultaneously
Critical thinker and problem solver who can act quickly under pressure
Self-directed, organized, and highly accountable

Compensation & Details

Exempt, salaried position: $70,000 to $75,000 base depending on experience, with performance-based bonus potential
Full-time; sustained overnight and multi-day availability required during winter storm season
Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and paid holidays
Free on-site parking
Active winter storm work required, driving in snow and ice conditions and walking properties in winter weather for the duration of each storm event
Office located on the second floor, ability to climb two flights of stairs required; no elevator access

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
