Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Office Spanish Interpreter and Scheduler, where your multilingual skills and passion for patient care will make a meaningful difference. In this vital role, you will facilitate clear communication between Spanish-speaking patients and medical professionals, ensuring accurate interpretation and seamless appointment coordination. Your expertise will support clinical workflows, uphold confidentiality standards, and promote culturally competent care in a fast-paced medical environment.

Duties

Provide accurate medical interpretation services in Spanish and English across various settings, including over-the-phone, video remote interpretation, and in-person encounters.
Translate medical terminology and documentation to ensure clarity and understanding for both patients and healthcare providers.
Assist patients with scheduling appointments, follow-up visits, and referrals while maintaining a welcoming and professional demeanor.
Review medical records and documentation to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations.
Support clinical staff by ensuring adherence to ethical guidelines, confidentiality policies, and cultural competency standards during interpretation sessions.
Maintain detailed records of interpretation sessions, appointment schedules, and documentation review activities to ensure compliance with clinical confidentiality policies.

Requirements

Multilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
Demonstrated expertise in medical interpretation, translating complex medical terminology accurately while adhering to professional ethics.
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly across cultural boundaries.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, clinical ethical guidelines, and confidentiality policies related to medical records management.
Ability to handle over-the-phone interpretation efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
