About the Position
An established, locally owned pest management company serving Tampa Bay, Orlando, and surrounding Central Florida markets is seeking an experienced Pest Control Service Manager to help lead our service department and support our team of pest control technicians.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong pest control background who enjoys leading and developing technicians, solving problems, maintaining high service standards, and helping keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.

Our team works collaboratively and everyone is expected to be flexible and willing to step in where needed. The right candidate will be comfortable balancing technician leadership, technical problem-solving, customer communication, scheduling and operational responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Supervise, support, and provide day-to-day direction to pest control technicians, including monitoring performance, service quality, professionalism, and adherence to company procedures.
Serve as a technical resource for technicians by assisting with pest identification, treatment methods, product selection, equipment, recurring pest issues, and difficult service situations.
Conduct technician ride-alongs, field evaluations, and quality-control inspections and provide coaching and follow-up as needed.
Train and support new and existing technicians on treatment methods, company procedures, safety, documentation, customer service expectations, and industry best practices.
Help ensure pest control services are performed in accordance with pesticide labels, company standards, safety requirements, and applicable Florida regulations.
Work with office staff to coordinate technician schedules, service requests, specialty services, route needs, and daily operational priorities.
Learn and understand the company's scheduling and service systems and assist with scheduling, customer communication, and day-to-day office operations as needed.
Communicate with customers and property managers regarding service questions, recommendations, recurring concerns, and escalated issues.
Assist with inspections, service recommendations, proposals, quoting, and new account opportunities.
Help plan specialty services by determining appropriate treatment approach, staffing, materials, equipment, and service requirements.
Work closely with the Director of Operations to identify technician needs, service concerns, operational challenges, and opportunities to improve efficiency and service quality.
Answer phones, assist customers, and perform other operational duties as needed in a collaborative small-business environment.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional pest control experience preferred.
Florida Certified Pest Control Operator (CPO) license preferred. Candidates without a current CPO may be considered if they have significant industry experience and strong knowledge of treatment methods, pesticide labels, technician training, and Florida pest control requirements.
Previous leadership, supervisory, or technician training experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of pest identification, pesticide products, treatment methods, labels, and industry best practices.
Experience with multifamily or commercial pest control is highly preferred.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with technicians, customers, property managers, and office staff.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced service environment.
Comfortable using computers, email, Microsoft Suite, and scheduling software.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Ability and willingness to work collaboratively and assist outside of primary responsibilities when business needs require it.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who combines strong pest control knowledge with leadership, sound judgment, accountability, and a willingness to be involved in the day-to-day operation of the business.

The right person will be someone technicians can turn to for technical guidance, customers can trust to help resolve difficult service issues, and management can rely on to help maintain high standards throughout the service department.

This is primarily a management and leadership role. Field time will generally consist of technician training, ride-alongs, inspections, quality control, and technical support rather than maintaining a regular service route.
