Regional Marketing Director— Senior Living

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and relationship-driven Regional Marketing Director specializing in Senior Living to lead marketing and referral development efforts across multiple senior living communities.

This role is focused on building strong local relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, physician offices, elder law attorneys, care managers, senior organizations, and other community referral partners. The ideal candidate will be comfortable being out in the field, developing new referral sources, strengthening existing relationships, and helping drive qualified leads and occupancy growth.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands the senior living or healthcare space, enjoys networking, and is passionate about helping seniors and families find the right care setting.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement regional marketing and outreach plans aligned with occupancy goals, community needs, and overall business growth.
Build, grow, and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, home health agencies, hospice providers, physician offices, elder law attorneys, care managers, senior centers, and local community organizations.
Conduct regular in-person visits, follow-ups, and check-ins with referral partners to keep our communities top of mind.
Identify new referral sources in each local market and create a consistent outreach strategy to generate qualified leads.
Represent the communities at networking events, health fairs, community events, professional meetings, and referral partner gatherings.
Work closely with Executive Directors, sales teams, and community leadership to understand occupancy needs, target markets, and referral opportunities.
Track outreach activity, referral sources, key contacts, and results to ensure consistent follow-up and accountability.
Coordinate community events, lunch-and-learns, educational programs, open houses, and professional networking opportunities.
Support local marketing materials, flyers, email communication, social media content, and print advertising as needed to support outreach efforts.
Partner with sales teams to ensure leads from referral sources are followed up on quickly and professionally.
Monitor local competitors, market trends, referral patterns, and opportunities for growth.
Help ensure consistent messaging, branding, and professionalism across all outreach and marketing efforts.
Manage regional marketing budgets and ensure resources are being used effectively to support lead generation and occupancy growth.

Experience

Experience in senior living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, healthcare marketing, hospital liaison work, or referral-based healthcare sales is strongly preferred.
Proven ability to build relationships with healthcare professionals, referral sources, and local community partners.
Strong understanding of the senior living sales process and the importance of consistent referral development.
Comfortable making in-person visits, cold outreach, follow-up calls, and professional presentations.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and networking skills.
Highly organized with the ability to track contacts, follow-ups, outreach activity, and results.
Ability to work independently in the field while staying aligned with community and regional goals.
Experience planning events, educational programs, professional networking events, or community outreach initiatives.
Strong writing and communication skills for basic marketing materials, emails, flyers, and community updates.
Familiarity with CRM systems and lead tracking is preferred.
Basic understanding of social media, email marketing, and print advertising is helpful, but this role is primarily focused on relationship-based marketing and referral development.
