Full Job Description

Weblinx Tech is seeking an expert Web Developer to join our rapidly growing team. The chosen applicant will be instrumental in creating cutting-edge user experiences on a variety of web platforms, using a wide range of systems and technologies. This role reports directly to the Head of Development and forms a critical part of the web development unit.

Responsibilities:

- Design, code, and customize applications and web pages according to business requirements and project briefs.
- Work closely with graphic designers and UX/UI specialists to ensure the accurate translation of design to functional, accessible websites.
- Maintain and apply web development best practices, and proactively suggest, design, and implement updates for optimal performance and user-engagement.
- Conduct testing, debugging, and problem-solving to ensure smooth and seamless functionality of all web projects.
- Perform regular site updates and implement new features and functionality as required.
- Contribute to project meetings and provide regular progress reports to the management.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven web development experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, and other relevant web design coding languages.
- Experience with content management systems such as WordPress and Drupal as well as eCommerce platforms will be advantageous.
- Understanding of SEO and web accessibility standards, and experience with responsive and mobile design.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines, with strong attention to detail, excellent organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
