Private Event Chef – (Greater Brainerd Lakes Area)
Create unforgettable dining experiences in some of the most beautiful private homes in the Brainerd Lakes Area. We’re looking for a skilled, polished, and guest‑focused Private Event Chef to join our team this summer.

What You’ll Do
- Prepare exceptional dishes with a strong focus on presentation, flavor, and guest satisfaction.
- Cook and interact with guests in private residences throughout the Brainerd Lakes Area.
- Execute multi‑course dinners for groups of 6–35 guests, including prep, service, and cleanup.
- Maintain food safety standards and a clean, organized workspace.
- Adapt to client needs, dietary restrictions, and last‑minute changes with professionalism.
- Communicate clearly with guests and team members to ensure a seamless dining experience.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in food service, culinary preparation, food safety, and guest interaction.
- Ability to remain professional, polished, and guest‑focused throughout the event.
- Strong knowledge of safe food handling practices.
- Ability to lead a small team and maintain a positive working environment.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail in both prep and plating.
- Flexibility to customize menus based on client preferences or dietary needs.
- A genuine passion for culinary arts and delivering memorable dining experiences.
- Reliable transportation to and from event locations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of the shift.
- Minimum age: 18 years old.
Schedule & Compensation
- Events typically occur on weekend evenings, with occasional weekday events.
- Shifts are generally 4–6 hours.
- This is a gratuity‑eligible position, with typical tips ranging $100–$250 per event.
