Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Vascular outpatient Lab Technologist to join our dynamic cardiovascular team. In this vital role, you will perform advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures within the cardiac catheterization laboratory, supporting cardiologists and interventional radiologists in delivering exceptional patient care. Your expertise will help facilitate accurate diagnostics, ensure patient safety, and optimize procedural success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your technical skills and clinical knowledge directly impact patient outcomes.

Duties

Prepare patients for vascular procedures by explaining the process, ensuring proper positioning, and monitoring vital signs throughout the intervention.
Operate specialized medical equipment including fluoroscopy machines, ultrasound devices, and vascular ultrasound imaging tools to assist in diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Assist MD during complex procedures angioplasty, stent placements, and other interventional radiology techniques.
Maintain strict aseptic technique to prevent infections during invasive procedures while adhering to infection control protocols.
Document procedural details accurately within Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and electronic health records for seamless data management.
Monitor patients’ vital signs continuously, assess physiological responses, and respond promptly to any emergencies or complications during procedures.
Ensure all medical equipment is properly operated, calibrated, and maintained for optimal performance during procedures.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality cardiovascular care in a Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center setting as required.

Experience

Proven experience working as a Lab Technologist or in a similar cardiovascular imaging or interventional radiology role.
Prior experience working in a hospital setting with Level I or Level II trauma center accreditation is advantageous.
Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to cardiovascular interventions combined with excellent diagnostic evaluation skills.
