Wellgistics, LLC is seeking a high-impact, multi-state licensed Pharmacist to lead and scale pharmacy operations, with a defined pathway to Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC). This role is designed for a strategic leader who combines deep regulatory expertise with operational excellence and a strong business mindset.
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience navigating complex, multi-state pharmacy environments while building compliant, scalable, and revenue-generating pharmacy programs. This individual will play a critical role in aligning pharmacy operations with broader organizational growth initiatives, including distribution, 3PL services, and emerging pharmacy channels.

Key Responsibilities
Pharmacy Operations & Leadership
- Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership of pharmacy operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and full regulatory compliance
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing pharmacy team, including pharmacists, technicians, and support staff
- Design and implement scalable workflows, systems, and controls to support rapid organizational growth
- Ensure proper dispensing, storage, handling, and documentation of all medications in accordance with regulatory standards
Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
- Maintain full compliance with all applicable State Boards of Pharmacy, DEA, and FDA regulations across multiple jurisdictions
- Lead all regulatory inspections, audits, and inquiries with a high degree of preparedness and professionalism
- Oversee licensing strategy, ensuring all pharmacy licenses, permits, and documentation are current and audit-ready
- Establish and enforce SOPs that reflect best-in-class compliance and risk mitigation practices
PIC Development Track
- Transition into the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) role upon satisfaction of internal and regulatory requirements
- Assume full accountability for pharmacy compliance, policy development, and operational oversight
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and governing bodies
Controlled Substance & Risk Management
- Oversee all controlled substance programs, including procurement, inventory management, reporting, and reconciliation
- Ensure strict adherence to DEA regulations, including suspicious order monitoring and reporting
- Implement and continuously improve internal controls to mitigate risk and ensure compliance integrity
Business Development, Sales & Operations Alignment
- Partner cross-functionally with Business Development, Sales, and Operations leadership to drive revenue growth and strategic expansion
- Serve as the pharmacy subject matter expert in client-facing engagements, supporting acquisition, onboarding, and retention efforts
- Collaborate with operations teams to design and scale pharmacy-enabled programs, including specialty, mail-order, and value-added services
- Identify and execute opportunities to expand pharmacy service offerings, improve margins, and enhance customer experience
- Ensure seamless integration between pharmacy operations and distribution/3PL services to optimize speed, accuracy, and service delivery
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics tied to pharmacy-driven revenue streams; implement continuous improvement initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Align pharmacy operations with warehouse, compliance, and executive leadership to ensure operational cohesion
- Support new program launches, client onboarding, and strategic initiatives across the organization
- Contribute to enterprise-wide process improvement and scalability efforts
Qualifications
Required
- Active Pharmacist license in the State of Florida in good standing (REQUIRED)
- Multi-state pharmacist licensure or demonstrated ability to rapidly obtain licenses across key states (AL, CA, KS, KY, LA, MD, MA, MI, MS, NE, OK, OR, TN, VA, WV)
- Minimum 3+ years of pharmacist experience, including leadership or management responsibility
- Deep knowledge of DEA, FDA, and State Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Proven experience supporting or leading regulatory inspections and audits
- Eligibility and readiness to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) in Florida
Preferred
- Prior experience as PIC or Pharmacy Manager
- Experience in mail-order, specialty pharmacy, and/or prior authorization workflows
- Familiarity with multi-state licensing strategy and regulatory frameworks
- Experience with pharmacy management systems and POS platforms

- Do you have at least 3 years of experience as a licensed Pharmacist? (Yes/No)
- Do you have experience with DEA controlled substance regulations and compliance? (Yes/No)
- Have you managed or supported a Florida Board of Pharmacy, DEA, or FDA inspection or audit? (Yes/No)
- Are you eligible and willing to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) in Florida? (Yes/No)
- Do you have experience supervising pharmacy staff or managing pharmacy operations? (Yes/No)
- Are you willing and able to work on-site in Lakeland, FL, Monday–Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM? (Yes/No)
