Full Job Description

Redefining What Accessible Means in Cancer Care

United Theranostics is redefining the clinical practice of molecular imaging and radiopharmaceutical therapy — from available to meaningfully accessible. Our network of nuclear medicine facilities specializes in personalized cancer treatment, combining advanced diagnostics with targeted radiopharmaceutical therapies to bring the latest in precision medicine directly to patients in their local communities.

We operate a hub-and-spoke model for clinical research, with centralized leadership ensuring standardized, high-quality trial execution across every site in our network.

The Role

This is a hands-on operational leadership role at the center of our clinical trial mission. As Manager of Clinical Trial Operations, you'll oversee the daily execution of radiopharmaceutical trials across sites — managing staff, driving protocol adherence, and keeping complex, multi-disciplinary workflows running with precision. You'll sit at the intersection of nuclear medicine, clinical research, and patient care, partnering directly with physicians, nuclear medicine staff, sponsors, and CROs to deliver trials that are compliant, efficient, and meaningful.

What You'll Do

Provide direct, hands-on oversight of daily clinical trial activities at sites, ensuring protocol adherence, patient safety, and smooth execution.
Supervise and support Clinical Research Coordinators, Research Assistants, and Data Coordinators, providing guidance, workload management, and real-time feedback.
Act as the primary operational contact at the site level for sponsors and CROs, including monitoring visits, data queries, and operational follow-up.
Translate sponsor protocols into site-level workflows, study tools, visit guides, and checklists, ensuring staff can implement procedures correctly.
Ensure accurate documentation and timely data entry for subject visits, including adverse event (AE) and serious adverse event (SAE) reporting in collaboration with investigators and the Director.
Coordinate clinical procedures, ensuring CRCs perform all required steps and collaborating with nuclear medicine technologists and physicians for imaging and radiopharmaceutical administration.
Oversee site-level investigational product and ancillary supply workflows, including receipt, accountability, storage compliance, and issue resolution.
Oversee lab kit management, bioanalytical sample handling, shipping, and chain-of-custody documentation.
Prepare sites for monitoring visits and audits, maintaining regulatory binders and resolving outstanding action items.
Track and escalate operational risks, protocol deviations, enrollment challenges, and resource constraints to the Director.
Partner with Quality & Regulatory to support audit readiness and corrective action implementation.
Collaborate with HR, recruitment, and scheduling teams to align staffing and optimize patient flow.
Assist with site-level performance reporting, enrollment tracking, and operational KPIs.
Lead onboarding and training for new clinical research staff, reinforcing standardized processes across sites.
Travel to clinical sites as needed for hands-on oversight, staff support, and operational problem-solving.

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in nursing, life sciences, healthcare administration, or a related field.
7+ years of clinical research experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or lead role, with oncology experience required.
Strong working knowledge of GCP, FDA, and ICH guidelines.
Demonstrated experience managing study execution in sponsor-led or CRO-managed trials.
Proficiency with Electronic Data Capture (EDC), CTMS, and sponsor portals.
Experience overseeing site-level operations including regulatory documentation, source documentation review, and data quality control.
Background in oncology trials required; radiopharmaceutical or nuclear medicine exposure strongly preferred.
Experience supporting monitoring visits, audits, and corrective action planning.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active trials simultaneously.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup or growth-stage environment where processes continue to evolve.
Willingness to travel to clinical sites as needed for oversight, training, and operational support.
