Overview

Join our dynamic team as an Office Assistant specializing in bookkeeping, where your expertise will keep our financial operations running smoothly and efficiently. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your accounting skills in a fast-paced environment, supporting both daily administrative tasks and complex financial processes. You will play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the overall success of our organization. Duties

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities including data entry, account reconciliation, and journal entries using various accounting software such as QuickBooks desktop
Process payroll accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely payments and collections
Reconcile bank statements, balance sheets, and general ledger accounts to maintain precise financial records
Prepare detailed financial reports, including budgeting summaries and account analysis for management review
Maintain organized records of financial transactions following GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other accounting standards
Support month-end closing procedures through accurate ledger entries and account analysis

Skills

Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks
Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles,
Expertise in double-entry bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, journal entries, and account reconciliation processes
Ability to interpret financial concepts such as debits & credits, general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis
Proficiency with spreadsheets for data analysis and report writing; experience with budgeting is a plus
Knowledge of payroll processing procedures and accounts payable/receivable management
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while adhering to deadlines
