Position- Full time MRI Technologist
Location- Brattleboro, VT
Shift Times: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Salary Median: $104,601/annually (dependent upon experience)

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time MRI Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners to produce detailed images of patients' internal structures, supporting accurate diagnosis and patient care. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of medical imaging techniques, patient safety protocols, and equipment operation. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality diagnostic services within a collaborative healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Operate MRI scanners efficiently to acquire high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the scan.
Assist with other diagnostic imaging procedures such as CT scans, DEXA scans, sonography, and vascular access as needed.
Maintain thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to imaging procedures.
Follow strict equipment safety procedures and aseptic techniques to prevent contamination or injury.
Manage image storage and transmission using Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), ensuring accurate documentation.
Monitor patient vital signs during procedures and respond promptly to any adverse reactions or emergencies.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Experience

Proven experience operating MRI scanners in a clinical setting with a strong understanding of diagnostic radiology principles.
Familiarity with advanced imaging modalities including CT, DEXA scan, sonography, and vascular access techniques.
Knowledge of medical equipment operation, including MRI systems, ultrasound devices, and related diagnostic tools.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications in MRI technology or radiologic sciences are preferred.
Demonstrated competence in IV insertion, patient care, and maintaining aseptic technique during procedures.

Submission Requirements

Formal AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology - Required.
Previous experience in MRI in a hospital setting. - Required
ARRT Registry - Required
MRI Registry - Required
CPR Certified - Required
Venipuncture Certification - Required (Can be obtained within 3 months of hire)
At least 2 recent supervisory references - Required
