The Town of Breckenridge is seeking a skilled Human Resources Generalist to play a key role in delivering exceptional HR services across the Town of Breckenridge. This position supports a wide range of Human Resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HRIS data entry and maintenance, training support, records management, benefits administration, and day-to-day departmental operations.
The HR Generalist manages the full recruitment cycle for Town positions, partners closely with departments to create a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience, and ensure accurate and timely employee data entry within our HRIS platforms. This role also maintains confidential personnel records with care, provide responsive and high-quality customer service to employees and applicants, and serve as a knowledgeable resource for general HR questions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required (Business Administration, Communications, Human Resources or closely related field).

Two (2) or more years Human Resources experience required.

Two (2) of more years of customer service experience required.

Must successfully pass a criminal background check prior to time of hire.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES:

Valid Colorado Driver's License required in 30 days of hire.

SHRM/HRCI professional HR Certification preferred.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Public sector experience preferred.

Working knowledge of UKG Ready Human Resources Information System (HRIS) or NEOGOV systems preferred.

Specialized or advanced knowledge of core competencies of Human Resources, as well as federal, state and local employment requirements.

Highly developed interpersonal, analytical, customer service, and written and oral communication skills.

Strong background and excellent skills in MS Excel, Word, and HRIS or other data management systems and be able to generate a variety of electronic reports.

Prior experience handling sensitive or confidential subject matters.
Hiring Range: $2,440.00 - $2,899.81 bi-weekly, $63,440.00 - $75,395.00 if annualized.
Full Pay Range: $2,440.00 - $3,359.62 bi-weekly, $63,440.00 - $87,350.00 if annualized.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday - Thursday, 8:00am-5:00pm, Friday 8:00am-12:00pm or other times/schedules to meet organizational needs.
