We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician I to join our Maintenance Team.
Job Overview
The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, preventative maintenance, and general upkeep throughout Tiger Run Resort.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, learning new skills, and taking pride in keeping a property looking and functioning at its best.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team and will understand that maintenance at a luxury resort is about more than fixing things—it is about protecting the guest and owner experience.
Responsibilities
- General Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform routine repairs and maintenance throughout resort buildings, common areas, facilities, and grounds.
Preventative Maintenance
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections and tasks.
- Identify potential problems before they become costly repairs.
- Inspect buildings, equipment, facilities, and common areas for maintenance concerns.
- Assist with seasonal preparation and winterization of resort facilities.
- Monitor equipment and building systems and report unusual conditions or potential failures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records.
Resort & Guest Experience
- Maintain a clean, safe, orderly, and professional work environment.
- Respond to owner and guest maintenance concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
- Support pool and hot tub maintenance under supervisor direction.
- Protect the privacy and property of owners and guests while performing work.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent Tiger Run Resort positively.
- Work cooperatively with Housekeeping, Front Desk, Park Services, and other departments.
- Assist with special projects, property improvements, events, and seasonal needs as assigned.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all resort safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use hand tools, power tools, ladders, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
- Immediately report hazardous conditions or safety concerns.
- Maintain work areas in a safe and organized condition.
- Follow proper procedures for handling, storing, and disposing of materials and chemicals.
- Comply with applicable building, electrical, plumbing, fire, and safety requirements within the scope of the position.
- Troubleshoot and address basic plumbing, electrical, mechanical, appliance, carpentry, and building maintenance issues.
- Repair or replace fixtures, hardware, doors, locks, faucets, toilets, lighting, and other components as needed.
- Perform basic painting, drywall repair, caulking, patching, carpentry, and other general repairs.
- Assist with maintenance and upkeep of resort amenities and common areas.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from management, owners, guests, and other departments.
- Complete work orders accurately and communicate completed work and outstanding issues.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous maintenance, construction, facilities, property management, hospitality, or related experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, management, owners, and guests.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests.
- Ability to work in a mountain environment and varying weather conditions.
Preferred:
- Experience in a resort, vacation rental, campground, RV resort, or property-management environment.
- Basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance, or mechanical experience.
- Experience using a computerized maintenance management or work-order system.
- Previous experience with preventative maintenance programs.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and work in confined or elevated areas.
- Use ladders and work at varying heights.
- Perform repetitive physical tasks as needed.
- Work indoors and outdoors in Colorado’s changing mountain weather conditions.
- Safely operate common maintenance tools and equipment.

Schedule
This is a full-time position. Schedule and hours will be determined based on resort operational needs.
Weekend, holiday, seasonal, emergency, or on-call availability may be required.
