Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Tailor/Seamstress to join our team at a busy dry cleaning and alterations shop. The ideal candidate will have strong sewing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a variety of garments while providing excellent customer service.

We are offering a full time position: Tuesday- Saturday 9AM-5PM.

At the time of interviewing, a random piece will be offered to preform the needed repair.

Interviews conducted at 4640 Union bay Pl NE Seattle WA 98105.

Responsibilities:
-Perform garment alterations, repairs, and fittings according to customer specifications (such as but not limited to: zipper replacements and repairs, suit take-ins, hemming, resizing, and other miscellaneous garment alterations)

-Alter and repair a variety of garments including everyday clothing, suits, formalwear, and wedding dresses

-Use sewing machines, hand tools, and other tailoring equipment to complete alteration tasks

-Measure customers for accurate sizing and make necessary garment adjustments

-Provide friendly customer service and assist customers with alteration requests

-Work with team members to ensure garments are completed on time

-Maintain a clean and organized work area

Experience:
- Proven experience as a tailor or seamstress in a fashion retail or similar setting

- Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques and sewing methods

- Ability to interpret and follow sewing patterns and instructions

- Excellent attention to detail and precision in tailoring work

- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating fabric requirements

- Proficiency in using sewing machines and other tailoring tools
