Overview:

We Are Hiring: PRN General Psychiatrist

We are seeking a Board-Certified General Psychiatrist to join our acute behavioral health team on a PRN basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician looking for flexible coverage work in a high-acuity inpatient setting with an experienced multidisciplinary team.

Position Highlights

Role: PRN General Psychiatrist
Employment Type: Contract Employee
Schedule: PRN
Facility Type: Acute Behavioral Health Facility
Beds: 90
Average Daily Census: 80 patients
Occupancy: 90%+ census
Length of Stay: Approximately 10 days
Provider Team: 3 additional providers
Call Requirement: PRN call coverage with call pay provided
EMR: WellSky (implementation scheduled for September)

Key Responsibilities

Provide PRN psychiatric physician coverage for inpatient behavioral health services.
Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and medication management.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to develop and oversee patient care plans.

Qualifications

Board Certified in Psychiatry required.
Active medical license and DEA registration.
Experience in acute inpatient psychiatry preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Responsibilities:

Summary:

Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred.
Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.

Licenses/Certifications:

Board certification in psychiatry
Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
