Job Summary

Coastline Spine & Health Center is seeking a dependable, professional, and patient-focused X-Ray Technician to join our chiropractic team.

The ideal candidate will be confident performing diagnostic X-rays in a chiropractic setting while providing an excellent patient experience. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, efficient, comfortable working independently, and able to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients of all ages.

Our X-Ray Technician plays an important role in the patient’s initial experience in our office and works closely with our doctors and clinical team to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining proper safety standards and office protocols.

Primary Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic X-rays as ordered by the treating chiropractor.
Properly position patients to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Explain X-ray procedures to patients and help them feel comfortable throughout the process.
Verify patient information and confirm appropriate imaging orders before performing X-rays.
Follow all radiation safety procedures and applicable state and federal regulations.
Utilize proper shielding, positioning, collimation, and exposure techniques.
Review images for appropriate positioning and image quality before completing the patient’s imaging visit.
Properly label and document X-ray images and maintain accurate patient records.
Upload, organize, and maintain digital X-ray images within the appropriate patient record/system.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the X-ray room and equipment.
Perform routine equipment checks and report equipment concerns promptly.
Maintain required X-ray logs and documentation.
Assist with maintaining compliance with radiation safety and quality-assurance requirements.
Communicate effectively with chiropractors, chiropractic assistants, front-desk team members, and other staff.
Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements at all times.
Help maintain an efficient patient flow during busy office hours.
Provide a warm, professional, and positive experience for every patient.
Assist with additional clinical or office responsibilities within the employee’s training and permitted scope of practice, as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Current Florida credentialing/authorization required to legally perform the radiographic procedures associated with this position.
Must maintain all required licenses, certifications, and continuing education applicable to the position.
Knowledge of proper radiographic positioning and radiation safety.
Experience with digital X-ray equipment preferred.
Previous experience in a chiropractic, orthopedic, medical, or outpatient setting preferred.
Chiropractic X-ray experience is a plus but not required for an otherwise qualified candidate.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality images.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable working with patients of varying ages and physical abilities.
Ability to remain patient and compassionate when working with patients who may be experiencing pain or limited mobility.
Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable learning office-specific software and clinical workflows.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
Must maintain professionalism and patient confidentiality at all times.

Physical Requirements

This position may require the ability to:

Stand and walk for extended periods.
Assist patients with positioning for radiographic examinations.
Bend, reach, squat, and perform repetitive movements.
Safely assist patients who have limited mobility or are experiencing discomfort.
Perform the physical functions necessary to safely operate radiographic equipment.

Schedule: Monday: 6:45AM - 11:00AM & 1:45PM-6:00PM Tuesday: 1:30PM-6:00PM, Wednesday: 6:45AM - 11:00AM & 1:45PM-6:00PM, Thursday: 6:45AM - 11:00AM & 1:45PM-6:00PM Friday: 6:45AM-11:00AM & Saturday 8:00AM-11:00AM

Location: Rockledge Office - 4087 US Highway 1, Rockledge FL 32955

Experience:

X-Ray: 1 year preferred
Chiropractic or outpatient healthcare: Preferred

License/Certification:

Appropriate current Florida credential required to perform X-rays
