Full Job Description

Community Association Manager

Are you an organized, proactive professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and making a meaningful impact within a community? Associa is seeking a Community Association Manager to oversee a portfolio of community associations and serve as a trusted partner to homeowners, board members, vendors, and internal teams.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and can confidently balance customer service, property operations, financial oversight, and project management.

What You’ll Do

Serve as the primary point of contact for association boards of directors and homeowners.
Build strong, professional relationships with board members, residents, vendors, committee members, and internal teams.
Attend board meetings, community events, property inspections, and walk-throughs as required.
Prepare meeting agendas, management reports, board packages, action-item lists, and other association documents.
Oversee the day-to-day administration and operation of assigned communities in accordance with management agreements, governing documents, and established policies.
Conduct or coordinate inspections of buildings, facilities, and common areas, ensuring appropriate follow-up is completed.
Review monthly financial reports and provide clear management summaries to association boards.
Assist boards with annual operating budgets, major capital expenditures, vendor selection, and long-term community planning.
Manage vendor procurement, contracts, special projects, and performance evaluations.
Oversee architectural review applications, compliance matters, delinquency activity, collections, and legal matters involving the association.
Coordinate annual disclosures, meeting notifications, financial statement packages, and homeowner mailings within required timeframes.
Maintain accurate homeowner, association, contract, and operational records.
Oversee accounts payable processes and Associa staff assigned to communities, as applicable.
Ensure community management tools, calendars, procedures, and tracking systems are effectively maintained and utilized.
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

Ability to manage multiple communities, deadlines, projects, and competing priorities.
Professional judgment and the ability to handle confidential or sensitive matters with discretion.
Confidence navigating conflict and providing practical, solution-oriented recommendations.
Self-motivated, proactive, dependable, and detail-oriented approach.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with boards, homeowners, vendors, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to learn and effectively use property-management systems and internal technology.
Knowledge of community associations, property management, real estate, or homeowners associations is preferred.
Understanding of the respective roles of the board of directors, homeowners, and Community Association Manager is a plus.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Previous community association, property management, real estate, hospitality, or customer-service experience is preferred but not required.
Relevant transferable experience in operations, project coordination, vendor management, financial administration, or client relationship management will also be considered.

Work Environment

Typical professional office environment with frequent interaction with clients, homeowners, vendors, and colleagues.
Regular travel to assigned communities for meetings, inspections, walk-throughs, and events.
Some evening meetings may be required based on association needs.
