About the Role

As a Precision Swiss Lathe Technician, you will play a critical role in producing high-tolerance components by mastering complex CNC Swiss-style turning processes. You will translate technical blueprints into precision-engineered parts, ensuring that every output meets rigorous quality standards through expert machine programming and setup.

Responsibilities

Program, set up, and operate CNC Swiss-type lathes to manufacture intricate parts to exact specifications.
Interpret complex engineering drawings to determine optimal machining sequences and tool paths.
Perform precise adjustments and offset revisions to maintain dimensional accuracy throughout production runs.
Execute thorough quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify part compliance.
Optimize machine performance by managing guide bushing settings and feed rates for long, slender workpieces.
Document production data and maintain accurate records to ensure process traceability and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Required Skills

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss-style lathes.
Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and geometric dimensioning.
Solid understanding of metalworking principles and mathematical applications in machining.

Preferred Skills

Hands-on experience with Citizen or Tsugami machine platforms.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for advanced programming tasks.
Background in high-precision manufacturing or medical device component production.
