Mortgage Loan Processor

Small Community Bank | In-House & Secondary Market Lending

Join our team!

We are a growing community bank looking for an experienced and dependable Mortgage Loan Processor to join our lending team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a close-knit banking environment and takes pride in providing excellent service to borrowers while keeping loans moving efficiently from application through closing.

Our mortgage department handles both in-house portfolio loans and secondary-market loans, providing a varied and rewarding workload.

What You’ll Do

Process residential mortgage loan applications from application through closing
Review loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
Order and track appraisals, title work, credit reports, flood certifications, insurance, and other required documentation
Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, appraisers, title companies, and other third parties
Obtain and verify income, assets, employment, and other documentation
Prepare loan files for underwriting and ensure conditions are cleared promptly
Process both in-house portfolio loans and secondary-market loans
Ensure loans meet applicable bank policies, investor requirements, and regulatory guidelines
Maintain accurate loan documentation and follow established procedures
Monitor loan pipelines and closing deadlines
Provide exceptional service and timely communication throughout the loan process
Assist with resolving issues and keeping loans on schedule

What We’re Looking For

Previous mortgage loan processing experience preferred
Knowledge of residential mortgage lending and loan documentation
Familiarity with both portfolio and secondary-market mortgage loans is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple loans and deadlines simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer and documentation skills
Ability to work independently while being a team player
Professional, dependable, and customer-focused attitude
