Position Overview:
The Marketing & Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving the team’s growth by increasing brand awareness, generating new business opportunities, and building relationships within the community. This individual will lead marketing initiatives, develop new referrals, network with prospective clients and centers of influence, and help guide qualified prospects through the business development process.
Working closely with our advisory team, you'll also gain hands-on experience with the practice’s operations, wealth planning process, and client service model. For the right individual, this role offers a clear pathway to develop into a Financial Advisor as your experience, licensing, and responsibilities grow.

Compensation
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media, and digital advertising.
- Assist in the creation and organization of content for marketing materials, newsletters, and social media posts.
- Help manage and optimize the company website, including updating content and tracking performance metrics.
- Collaborate with designers and vendors for marketing collateral and promotional materials as needed.
- Support client engagement activities such as client appreciation events.
Business Development Responsibilities
- Support business development initiatives by helping advisors cultivate relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and meeting materials for prospect meetings and client reviews.
- Coordinate follow up activities with prospective clients and referrers to help maintain a consistent business development process.
- Help identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships through personalized communications and outreach.
- Maintain and update prospect and referral activity within the CRM, ensuring accurate records and timely follow up.
- Assist in planning and executing networking events, educational seminars, and client appreciation events that support practice growth.
- Research local networking organizations, community events, and any opportunities which might align with the practice's business development strategy.
- Track business development activities and marketing initiatives, helping monitor progress toward practice growth goals.
- Collaborate with advisors to support referral initiatives and enhance the overall client and prospect experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-2 years of experience in a sales, marketing, or administrative support role; experience in a small business environment is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and social media platforms; experience with email marketing and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe) is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Working Conditions:
- This is an in-person position based at our office.

As you gain additional qualifications and deepen your knowledge of financial services. We provide resources to help you prepare for licensing exams including study materials.
