Position Summary
The Installation & Operations Manager / Lead Installer is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational functions of the business, performing precise on-site measurements for custom door and closet installations, and leading installation teams in the field. This multi-faceted role ensures all installations are completed with precision and professionalism while managing the efficiency, quality, and productivity of warehouse
and field operations. The ideal candidate is a motivated leader with carpentry or
construction experience, strong logistical and customer service skills, and a passion
for delivering top tier customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Coordinate daily and weekly job scheduling.
- Oversee warehouse inventory, shop production, and delivery logistics.
- Track and improve efficiency metrics including install timelines, customer satisfaction, and material usage.
- Maintain installation tools, vehicles, and equipment.
- Implement and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) across operations.
- Support and troubleshoot customer service issues related to installations or scheduling.
Measurement Technician Duties
- Perform accurate and thorough in-home measurements for doors, closets, and storage systems using precision measuring tools and software.
- Communicate with customers during the measurement process to answer questions and explain next steps.
Installation Leadership
- Serve as the lead installer on job sites; install custom interior doors, closet systems,
and related products.
- Ensure all installations are completed according to quality standards and timelines.
- Train, mentor, and oversee installation crews and subcontractors.
- Manage job preparation, safety, and customer interaction.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with customers before, during, and after installation.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with sales teams to ensure customer expectations are met and
exceeded.
- Communicate project status, installation feedback, and issues to leadership.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management of installation and
operations staff.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in construction, finish carpentry, or similar hands-on
- installation work.
- 2+ years in a leadership, supervisory, or operations management role
- Strong technical skills in measurements, tools, and carpentry best practices.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for managing teams and customers.
- Must be customer-focused, personable, and able to represent the company positively and professionally at all times.
- Proficient in technology tools for scheduling, project tracking, and communication (CRM, job management software).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy doors and materials as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in residential remodeling or interior millwork installation.
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction training preferred, or willingness to complete the course after hire.
Working Conditions
- Combination of warehouse, job site, and office environments.
- Frequent travel to job sites throughout the Fairfield and New Haven County region.
- Must be able to lift 75+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in active construction environments.

- $75K - $90K salary based on experience
