Full Job Description

The Pediatric Perspective is seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist/Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing holistic pediatric practice. We are a patient-centered office that combines traditional pediatric care with functional medicine to provide personalized, whole-child healthcare. We are looking for someone who is friendly, professional, and passionate about creating an exceptional experience for every family that walks through our doors.

Position Type

Part-time (approximately 20–30 hours per week)
Starting pay: $10.00/hour, negotiable based on experience
Opportunity for growth as the practice expands

Responsibilities

Greet patients and families with professionalism and warmth
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
Collect copays, self-pay balances, and process payments
Submit insurance claims and assist with billing follow-up
Manage electronic medical records and patient intakes
Scan, upload, and organize medical records
Coordinate referrals and obtain prior authorizations as needed
Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Keep the front office clean, organized, and welcoming
Assist with administrative projects and other office duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous medical office or customer service experience preferred
Experience with medical billing and insurance is preferred
Strong computer skills and ability to learn electronic medical record systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, self-motivated, and dependable
