Nursing Assistant Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient facilities, assisted living environments, and home community care. This position requires a strong understanding of anatomy, patient care techniques, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including geriatrics and individuals with dementia.

Duties
As a Nursing Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Providing catheter care and ensuring proper aseptic techniques are followed.
Monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes in patient conditions to the nursing staff.
Supporting patients in mobility and physical activities to enhance their overall well-being.
Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients by following established protocols for infection control.
Documenting patient care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

Knowledge of anatomy and basic medical terminology.
Experience in outpatient settings or assisted living facilities is preferred.
Familiarity with medical-surgical nursing practices is an advantage.
Previous experience providing dementia care or working with geriatric patients is highly desirable.
Ability to perform basic nursing tasks while adhering to safety protocols and best practices in patient care.
