Grüns is looking for a Chief Product Officer to lead the incredible team that brings new products, flavors, and formulations to market and to define the next chapter of what we build. Reporting to our CEO and overseeing the R&D, Science & Regulatory, and Product Development functions, you'll be the driving force behind what Grüns brings to market next.
We're looking for a true builder – someone who knows this world deeply enough to get into the weeds with the team as needed, but is focused on building for the future, creating and scaling systems, and multiplying impact by consistently leading our high-performing team to be the best in their respective functions.
This role is part of our remote HQ! We have a fully remote, high-trust work environment - and also come together on a biannual basis for amazing offsites where we can connect IRL.
- Lead a best-in-class product team, ensuring each function delivers the highest-quality work and outcomes. Set a clear vision for what great looks like and ensure the team works seamlessly together to deliver.
- Drive innovation strategy through the right product innovation roadmap, identifying emerging categories, ingredients, and consumer opportunities. Champion bold, evidence-backed innovation while building the right process to bring ideas to market efficiently through our in-house R&D capabilities
- Create industry-leading, science-backed formulations by ensuring everything we create is efficacious, compliant, and defensible. Set the bar for how we use clinical evidence, ingredient science, and regulatory strategy as a competitive advantage.
- Partner cross-functionally to deliver winning go-to-market strategies that translate product innovation into business results. Bring a commercial lens to every launch decision.
- Build for quality and scale by ensuring that quality, consistency, supply chain resilience, and process efficiency are core to how we develop and launch products.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in product, with at least 5+ years leading a product or R&D organization in supplements, functional food, or adjacent CPG categories
- Proven track record of launching and scaling successful consumer products from concept through commercialization
- Deep fluency in formulation science, ingredient sourcing, and regulatory affairs in the supplement or food space
- Experience building and leading cross-functional product teams across R&D, development, science, and quality
- Strong commercial instincts; knows how to connect product decisions to brand, growth, and margin outcomes
- You thrive in a fast-moving, resource-efficient environment where speed and creativity matter as much as rigor
- You build systems, not just solutions. When something breaks, you fix it and solve at the root by working on the thing that keeps it from breaking again
- You measure excellence in the impact your team delivers to the business vs. in busyness or tasks completed
- You strive to be the best at what you do and encourage your team to do the same – you're not satisfied with good or solid, and consistently strive for excellence
- You're leveraging AI in unique ways to augment or accelerate quality of formulations and speed to market
At Grüns, we're committed to providing a competitive total compensation package — grounded in market data that considers our size, stage, industry, and location. For this role, the base salary is $350,000 + incentive compensation, paired with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and growth of our team.
