Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage financial records, ensure accurate bookkeeping practices, and support our organization’s financial health. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for precision, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and experience with various accounting software platforms. This position is perfect for someone looking to contribute their expertise in a flexible, part-time capacity while making a meaningful impact on our operations.

Duties

Perform monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to ensure data integrity
Import payroll transactions into general ledger
Prepare and process journal entries
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and review financial reports to identify discrepancies or irregularities
File and distribute 1099's
Support budgeting activities by analyzing account data and preparing financial summaries
Support accountants for preparation of tax filings and financial statements

Skills

Proficiency in accounting software and other financial tools
Strong understanding of corporate accounting
Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting
Experience with bank reconciliation, account analysis, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation
Familiarity with tax processes related to payroll and other financial transactions
Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately for data entry tasks
Excellent skills in account analysis to support management decision-making
Understanding of GAAP principles and technical accounting concepts
Experience with budgeting processes and financial software integration
