Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic individual to join our team as a <PERSON>. In this vital role, you will be responsible for assisting with meal preparation, ensuring food safety standards are met, and supporting the dietary department’s daily operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic food service environment, delivering nutritious and delicious meals while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a positive dining experience for our residents or customers.

Duties

Assist with meal planning and preparation in accordance with dietary guidelines and menu specifications
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and other culinary tools
Prepare food items by following recipes accurately, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by adhering to food safety standards, including proper cleaning and sanitation of surfaces and equipment
Support food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene during all stages of meal production
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service and address any operational needs or issues
Contribute to catering events by preparing ingredients, assembling dishes, and ensuring timely delivery of meals

Qualifications

Previous experience in dietary services, food preparation, or restaurant environments preferred
Knowledge of food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments
Strong knife skills and slicing techniques for efficient food prep
Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal presentation techniques
Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and properly cleaning tools and workspaces
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and team members
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
