Full Job Description

AJG Aerospace is a fast-growing aerospace manufacturer with world-class new equipment, seeking a skilled 5-Axis CNC Programmer Machinist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to take ownership of complex programming work and make a real impact as we continue to grow as a leader in the aerospace industry. If you're a dedicated, precision-focused individual looking to be part of this exciting growth trajectory, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll do:

Program and set up 3- and 5-axis CNC machines using Tebis CAM software
Operate machines independently, making tool offsets and program edits as needed
Interpret complex CAD models, blueprints, and technical drawings, including GD&T
Perform in-process inspections to verify dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications
Maintains specifications by observing machining operations, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, and troubleshooting processes
Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to optimize programs, fixturing, and cycle times
Maintain tooling inventory and perform basic tool modifications and adjustments
Mentor and train apprentice operators on machine setup and programming best practices

What we're looking for:

2–5 years of CNC machining and programming experience, including 5-axis work
Proficient in Tebis CAD/CAM or equivalent programming software (Mastercam, Work NC, NX, Esprit, etc.)
Strong understanding of machining parameters, feeds/speeds, and aerospace-grade materials
Experience with Heidenhain controls (preferred)
Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T
Skilled at identifying, diagnosing, and correcting quality and dimensional issues
Punctuality and attendance
Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
