Full Job Description

Job Overview

Seeking a detail-oriented 2nd Shift Quality Technician specializing in Injection Mold Plastics to join a family owned and operated manufacturing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that plastic injection molding processes meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.

Your expertise will help maintain product integrity through precise measurements, rigorous inspections, and adherence to quality management systems. This is an opportunity for a proactive professional looking to contribute to a fast-paced, innovative environment that values precision, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of injection molded parts using precision measuring instruments such as height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), vision inspection systems, and other measuring tools.
Interpret manufacturing and quality documentation including mechanical blueprints, production records, and work instructions to verify compliance with specifications.
Perform quality audits on production lines to ensure adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP, HACCP, FDA regulations, and other regulatory/legal standards.
Utilize Calypso software and other quality management systems to document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions efficiently.
Support calibration of measuring instruments and ensure all equipment meets calibration standards for accuracy and reliability.
Assist in root cause analysis for quality issues related to dimensional discrepancies or process deviations; recommend corrective actions.
Participate in regular quality meetings and collaborate with manufacturing teams to promote continuous improvement initiatives aligned with ISO standards and quality systems.

Preferred Experience:

Hourly in process inspection of products and process parameters according to documented procedures
Document and maintain the results of inspections, profess monitoring and quality issues including data entry into computer systems
Perform layered audit and off-line 100% inspection as required
Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably with injection molding or plastics processing.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP principles, and FDA regulations relevant to medical or consumer products.
Hands-on experience with measurement tools such as height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), vision inspection systems, and other precision measurement instruments.
Familiarity with interpreting mechanical blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and production documents.
Mechanical knowledge including understanding of manufacturing processes related to plastics injection molding.
Ability to perform data collection, analysis skills, and conduct quality audits effectively

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
