Full Job Description

First and foremost, you will be responsible for doing your part to help build a world-class addiction recovery facility.

Saturday and Sunday 12 hour shifts available from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.

Kitchen Staff work under the direction of the Chef and supports all activities of the facility and clients that we serve and support. The kitchen staff are responsible for the quality of meals served, quality of service delivery during meal service and for compliance with special diets. An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering delicious, well-prepared meals with great presentation. Prepare food according to facility recipes and specifications. Make adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns.

Prepare meals under direction of Chef.
Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods.
Able to read and follow standardized recipes.
Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items. Wash, cut, and prepare foods for cooking.
Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.
Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures and ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts. Clean and stock workstations and display cases.
Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen, as determined by law and company policy. Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
May be asked to perform other duties as assigned, in alignment with their experience and scope of practice.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma/GED required. Minimum one year experience as a cook or in food service. Must have compassion for and desire to work with clients in recovery.

Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere. Must possess good communication skills.
Applicant must be able to pass drug and background checks.
Food Handlers Permit, as required by state regulation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
