This position is compensated on a bi-weekly pay cycle.

Denver Complex, Denver, CO. This posting may be used to fill future vacancies at this location.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES This full-time position is responsible for producing high quality diagnostic radiographs for offenders housed at the Denver Complex. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Evaluates radiological orders to determine positioning, test procedure needed and protective measure necessary for diagnostic testing;

Operates X-ray machines, fixed and portable, according to established guidelines;

Produces high quality radiographs that will assist medical personnel in diagnosing disease processes;

Evaluate finished product and equipment according to quality control standards;

Schedules radiological testing necessary to meet needs of offenders and/or test required;

Monitors system for logging all diagnostic tests performed according to offender name, number, location and test;

Prepare digital images for review by radiologist to include preparation of electronic information;

Scan dictation into electronic health record;

Cleans radiology equipment and provided sanitary environment for each exam;

Completes all related paperwork, bookkeeping and requisitions accurately and in a timely manner;

Obtains and logs necessary quality control measures;

Travel to other facilities within the state as requested;

Attends training programs as assigned including one-day self defense refresher course.
