Full Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Guide children through drawing, painting, and creative art projects in a patient and encouraging manner.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and art supplies before each class.
Organize and store student artwork and clean up materials after class.
Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming studio environment.
Take photos and short videos of classroom activities and student artwork.
Monitor students and provide appropriate guidance based on their age and skill level.
Collaborate with other instructors and studio staff to ensure classes run smoothly.
Provide occasional front desk support, including greeting families, answering basic questions, and assisting with student check-in.
Follow the studio’s curriculum, teaching standards, schedules, and procedures.
Communicate schedule changes or leave requests in advance and assist with arranging class coverage when appropriate.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in fine art, illustration, art education, design, or a related field preferred.
Current bachelor’s or master’s students in an art-related field are also welcome to apply.
Strong artistic skills in multiple areas, such as: Sketching, Drawing, Watercolor, Acrylic Painting, Oil Painting, and Digital illustration using Procreate
Patient, enthusiastic, and comfortable working with children.
Responsible, punctual, organized, and able to manage time effectively.
Able to work independently while collaborating closely with a team.
Willing to follow the studio’s curriculum, policies, and class arrangements.
Flexible availability and ability to work weekends.
Comfortable using Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.
Photography, video editing, Canva, or InShot experience is a plus.
Previous experience independently leading children’s art classes is preferred but not required.

Portfolio Requirements

Please provide a portfolio or website featuring at least 20 original artworks. The portfolio should demonstrate a variety of skills and media, preferably including sketching, watercolor, acrylic or oil painting, and digital illustration.

Education and Work Authorization

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Candidates with valid OPT or CPT authorization are welcome to apply.
Employment sponsorship may be considered for qualified long-term candidates, depending on eligibility, position requirements, and studio needs.
Internship and training opportunities are available for art students or recent graduates who have a strong portfolio but limited teaching experience.
