Psychiatrist – Forensic Psychiatry | Middletown, CT

Position Overview

We are seeking two experienced Psychiatrists to join the multidisciplinary clinical team at Connecticut's premier forensic psychiatric hospital in Middletown, CT. This is an outstanding opportunity to provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care to individuals with complex mental health conditions in a secure forensic setting.

As a member of a collaborative treatment team, you will evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of psychiatric illnesses, many of whom are involved with the state legal system. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working alongside a dedicated and highly skilled group of behavioral health professionals.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
Diagnose and treat patients with acute and chronic mental health disorders.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
Collaborate with psychologists, nurses, social workers, and other members of the multidisciplinary treatment team.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
Participate in treatment planning and provide expert clinical consultation as needed.

Schedule & Assignment Details

Monday through Friday
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
40 hours per week
No weekends
No on-call responsibilities
Six-month contract
Immediate openings with an anticipated start in early to mid-August
