Full Job Description

COMPANY OVERVIEW:

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage and process payroll accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have hands-on payroll processing experience and strong knowledge of payroll processing, payroll taxes, wage and hour regulations, employee records, employee benefits, and payroll compliance.

Spanish fluency is required for this position, as the Payroll Specialist will regularly communicate with Spanish-speaking employees regarding payroll, benefits, deductions, timekeeping, and other employment-related questions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Process biweekly/semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule.

· Review and verify employee timekeeping, hours worked, overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and other payroll adjustments.

· Maintain accurate employee payroll records and ensure changes are properly documented.

· Respond to employee questions regarding paychecks, deductions, tax withholdings, direct deposits, benefit deductions, and payroll policies.

· Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking employees and assist with payroll- and benefits-related questions in Spanish.

· Process new hires, terminations, promotions, pay changes, benefit enrollments and changes, and other employee status updates.

· Coordinate with benefits providers to ensure accurate benefit enrollment, deductions, and eligibility information.

· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.

· Assist with payroll tax filings, reconciliations, audits, and year-end reporting, including W-2s and other required forms.

· Reconcile payroll reports and identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.

· Coordinate with Human Resources, Finance, benefits providers, and management to ensure accurate payroll and benefits information.

· Maintain confidentiality of employee compensation, benefits, and personal information.

· Stay current on changes to payroll regulations, tax requirements, benefits requirements, and company policies.

· Assist with payroll- and benefits-related projects and process improvements as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or equivalent relevant experience is required. 2+ years of hands-on experience processing payroll and administering employee benefits using ADP is required.

· Demonstrated experience processing payroll from start to finish, including reviewing time records, calculating wages and overtime, processing deductions, and completing payroll adjustments.

· Experience administering or supporting employee benefits, including benefit enrollments, changes, deductions, and employee questions.

· Strong understanding of payroll processes, deductions, taxes, benefits deductions, and wage/hour requirements.

· Fluent in English and Spanish is required.

· Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll software or HRIS systems.

· Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

· Ability and willingness to be flexible and assist with additional HR-related tasks and projects as needed.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
