Full Job Description

Job Summary
Fitness & Fuel is seeking a certified Fitness Coach / Personal Trainer to lead small-group and private training sessions in our inclusive, community-driven studio. This part-time role (15-20 hrs/week to start) is perfect for coaches who are passionate about helping adults exercise safely, build confidence, and enjoy fitness again. $500 signing bonus after 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities:

Lead small-group (up to 4) and private training sessions
Write and adapt training programs
Contribute to gym upkeep and a positive member experience
Attend weekly team meetings and continuing education
Communicate reliably via email and with members

Requirements:

1+ years experience coaching (small or large groups)
CPR/First Aid certification (required)
Recognized fitness certification (NASM, NSCA-CSCS, CFSC, RKC, etc.)
Strong customer service and communication skills
Schedule (Sunday Mornings, Mon evening, Tues Evening, Thursday Evening)

Fitness & Fuel (F&F) is a vibrant fitness boutique in Brighton, MA, dedicated to providing an exceptional training experience while elevating the fitness industry for coaches and clients alike. Established six years ago, we’ve not only weathered the challenges of the pandemic but thrived, thanks to our innovative approach to serving our community.

At F&F, we specialize in helping individuals who feel out of place in large gym environments. We teach them to exercise safely, build confidence, and truly enjoy their fitness journey. Beyond training, we simplify nutrition for our members by offering delicious, healthy meals prepared by an in-house chef, making it easy to stay on track.

We believe fitness should feel good—not just physically but mentally. That’s why we’ve removed mirrors from our gym to encourage members to focus on how their bodies feel rather than how they look. We celebrate progress with daily wins on our Wins Board and even offer affirmations through our custom “positron” gumball machine. Our members cheer each other on, creating a supportive community where every achievement is acknowledged and celebrated.

In a world dominated by online interactions, we emphasize genuine human connection. From paper-based programs to member introductions, we foster relationships that extend beyond the gym. Weekly polls add an extra layer of fun, sparking engaging conversations during workouts. Together, these efforts ensure that every member leaves feeling better than when they arrived.

Our team delivers customized small-group training to over 140 members weekly, blending personalization with a supportive, community-driven atmosphere. We are passionate about growth—both for our clients and ourselves—and strive daily to become better coaches, teammates, and individuals.
