Senior Litigation Attorney
Practice Area: Insurance Defense / Civil Litigation

About Our Client

Our client is a boutique defense litigation firm founded in 1998, with established practices in Texas and Oklahoma. The firm represents insurance carriers and insureds in complex civil and insurance-related matters and is known for its collaborative culture, sophisticated legal work, and long-standing client relationships.

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to join its Tulsa office. This role is suited for an experienced insurance defense attorney who can independently manage complex matters, maintain client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of the firm. While trial experience is welcomed, the position is not limited to trial attorneys.

Key Responsibilities

Independently manage insurance defense litigation matters from inception through resolution
Develop case strategy, oversee discovery, conduct depositions, and handle motion practice
Draft and argue dispositive and procedural motions in state and federal courts
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, including insurance carriers and insureds
Collaborate with colleagues across Texas and Oklahoma offices
Mentor and guide junior attorneys and litigation staff
Participate in business development and firm growth initiatives

Required Qualifications

15–20 years of litigation experience, primarily in insurance defense, is preferred
Active member in good standing with the Oklahoma State Bar
Proven ability to manage complex matters independently
Strong client-facing skills and professional judgment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advanced degree(s) preferred (e.g., LL.M. or equivalent experience)

Preferred / Wish List Qualifications

Existing book of business or demonstrated ability to generate client work
Meaningful trial experience, including first-chair or second-chair roles
Experience handling high-exposure or complex litigation matters
Established relationships with insurance carriers or claims professionals
Jurisdictional experience, particularly in Oklahoma
