Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Nursing to lead our healthcare team with passion, expertise, and strategic insight. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all nursing operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while fostering a positive, compliant, and innovative clinical environment. Your leadership will drive excellence in patient outcomes, staff development, and organizational growth, inspiring a team dedicated to compassionate healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and direction for all nursing services, aligning departmental goals with organizational mission and vision.
Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures that promote best practices in patient care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Manage the organizational nursing budget effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost efficiency.
Oversee staffing levels, recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training to maintain a highly skilled and motivated nursing team.
Ensure adherence to state-specific education laws and healthcare standards, maintaining accreditation and licensing requirements.
Lead clinical quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, satisfaction, and care outcomes.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, administrators, and support staff to foster a cohesive healthcare environment.
Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for nursing staff to promote career growth and organizational loyalty.

Requirements

Proven experience in management within healthcare settings, with a strong background in nursing leadership or administration.
Extensive knowledge of state-specific education laws related to healthcare professionals and facilities.
Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, organizational budget management, and academic or instructional leadership in healthcare or education environments.
Strong management skills with experience supervising diverse teams of healthcare professionals.
Background in school or educational administration is highly desirable, especially with school administrative director experience or instructional leadership roles.
Excellent personnel management skills with a focus on team management and staff supervision.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree or higher in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred; valid RN license required.
Experience working within university or academic settings is a plus; familiarity with teaching or educational program development is advantageous.
